The homepage header photo of a ten year old mill worker was taken in 1908 by Lewis Wickes Hine at the Rhodes Manufacturing Company in Lincolnton, N.C. and is in the collection of the Library of Congress. His photos were a powerful factor in the movement to outlaw child labor in the United States and are an example of the power of art to serve justice.
